I am a genderqueer and bisexual designer looking to make connections with other LGBT+ professionals! Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design - Communication Design - Class of 2023

How does being queer inform your work?

At this point in time, I'm not sure. I consider myself to be mostly a novice because my portfolio is not very well developed. All I know is that I would love to be involved in projects/campaigns that are somehow related to the LGBT community.

What are your favorite pieces of queer visual culture?

Oh man, that's a good question. There's queer work everywhere, so I mean... it's hard to choose just one. I don't know if this counts, but for my birthday last year I received a book called "Queer x Design" by Andy Campbell. It's a collection of graphic art, logos, signs etc. created by and for the LGBT community and it's a pretty cool resource with a ton of pictures.

Which other queer people inspire you?

Janelle Monae, Harry Styles (trust me lol), Alok Vaid-Menon, Freddie Mercury
