How does being queer inform your work?

Being queer informs my work by fostering empathy, inclusivity, and creativity. It encourages me to challenge norms and create content that is welcoming and representative of diverse identities, ensuring that everyone feels seen and valued.

What are your favorite pieces of queer visual culture?

My favorite piece of queer visual culture is Frida Kahlo's "Two Nudes in a Forest". This painting explores intimacy, gender, and desire, with two naked women in a lush, dreamlike setting. It challenges traditional representations of sexuality and reflects Kahlo’s own complex identity and relationships. Her unapologetic portrayal of queer love and sensuality inspires me, showing how art can push boundaries and represent diverse LGBTQ+ experiences.

Which other queer people inspire you?

I’m inspired by Harvey Milk, whose courage and activism for LGBTQ+ rights motivate me to bring that same energy into my work. His message of "You’ve got to give them hope" reminds me that my work can inspire, uplift, and challenge the status quo.
