How does being queer inform your work?

It gives me an inclusive mindset. As a designer empathy with our customers is a focus and as a queer I can really dig deep into emotional challenges that a customer might experience— through accessibility, mental health and social changes.

What are your favorite pieces of queer visual culture?

I'm a horrible queer but I've caught up with Rupaul's Drag Race! It inspires me that there are individual that pushes that boundary of the human body through art, culture and fashion. Drag Queens are changing the community in a impactful way and it's great to watch it!

Which other queer people inspire you?

The world is so big. Besides famous queer people the younger generation is inspiring me. They are more vocal, upfront, proud and challenge the status quo! This next generation is going to smash so many goals for our community that I'm excited to be part of it.
