How does being queer inform your work?

As a queer person I understand what it's like to look at the TV and see no one that looks or acts like you, feeling ignored by everyone else around you, like you don't exist. Due to this I've made it my goal to make sure no one is allowed to forget we exist, and that we are deserving of love and respect; I also hope to allow queer youth to feel they are allowed to live their childhoods and teen years like everyone else.

What are your favorite pieces of queer visual culture?

It's a tough question but I'd have to say the LGBT+ flag in all of its iterations. The LGBT+ flag perfectly encapsulates the growth, diversity and changes the community itself has gone through since the Stonewall Riots, with new colours added or removed, or different layouts, or added design aspects to cater to specific communities or other identity intersections some people experience.

Which other queer people inspire you?

Some of my biggest inspirations include musical artists who are very proudly and openly queer such as Lady Gaga, Lil Nas X and Dorian Electra, actors such as Elliot Page and Andrew Scott, and so many others, including a lot of my friends.
