How does being queer inform your work?

As a queer designer working in traditionally white collar public sector spaces, my self expression defines my presence. Whether it's working with the Department of Veterans Affairs or Health and Human Services, most government services I have partnered with do have histories of (at times, unintentionally) marginalizing communities. As a part of the queer community, I do my best to hold the torch for all of us, especially our trans and nonbinary family.

What are your favorite pieces of queer visual culture?

Radical authenticity.

Which other queer people inspire you?

Generally, queer youth inspire me to be a better person and to lead by example. Individually, I draw inspiration from Rochelle Brock and Ryan Fluger (photographers) and Keith Haring.
