How does being queer inform your work?

During my first professional years it was difficult to be able to work in an environment where I did not feel like I was masking myself to be part of the work team.As time went by, I managed to find certain independent clients who had a deeper openness to that important side of me. Nowadays it is still difficult for me to find places where I feel comfortable enough to correct people every time they change my pronouns or assume things about me. But it is a learning process.
