How does being queer inform your work?

I find that my work is steeped in queer identity -- my thesis project I wrapped on this past May was focused on DEIC and incorporating queer identity and body diversity into a vampire fashion doll line. All the characters in the lineup were gender queer and/or bisexual/lesbian.

What are your favorite pieces of queer visual culture?

Gotta be Fun Home -- both the comic and the musical, Alison Bechdel's story of coming out and her father's struggle with his identity is so gripping and relatable.

Which other queer people inspire you?

My friends and queer family members inspire me to be a better person daily, and the celebration of queer art and media irrevocably influences my design decisions.
