I am a UX and visual designer who loves problem solving and drawing letters. I am a proud ga(y)mer and friend to every animal I meet.

How does being queer inform your work?

I feel like being a queer person, especially in the South, has made me hyper aware of my place in the world (or the place that society wants to put us). I try to use that awareness to have empathy for others who are disadvantaged. This is most important in my UX work as the user is at the core of every design decision I make. While the target of UX design is the focus, I try to use my empathetic skills to figure out who is being left out. Whose voice can I amplify?
