My name is Hema Puran, She/her. I'm from Jamaica Queens NY. I love anything with typography and exploring with layous.

How does being queer inform your work?

I bring a unique point of view to all work i do. I try to produce work with sometype of queerness in it. Being queer helps me with critical decision making within the political structure in any organization.

What are your favorite pieces of queer visual culture?

Queer telivion is developing and im happy to see it growing. Definitely not as I fast as I would like it to but it is none the less growing. I would love to see more diversity in queer entertainment in the future and i look forward to all the upcoming shows that include queer protagonists. A few of my recent favorites include Euphoria, We are Who we Are, and The New L Word.
