I am a lesbian UX designer from Texas who just moved to the D.C. area. I love queso, every dog I meet, and designing for positive impact.

How does being queer inform your work?

As a UX designer, In my day to day I advocate for people and I listen to what they need. Growing up gay in a small town has made me more empathetic out of survival and today that manifests by making sure voices are heard and building experiences that are inclusive for everyone. I really don't take myself as serious as this sounds haha

What are your favorite pieces of queer visual culture?

Have y'all seen stonewall forever? As a history nerd, It's my favorite digital experience at the moment.

Which other queer people inspire you?

So many! Audre Lorde, Kay Lahusen, Keith Haring, and Kate Moross to name a few.
