How does being queer inform your work?

At the moment, not so much? Of course, I look out for and avoid implementing bad practices in my design when possible, such as binary gender toggles and other dark patterns (as any designer should), but… so far, we haven't really had the chance to work with any queer organisations here in Hong Kong, although the territory is certainly in a very transitional period of LGBT acceptance.

What are your favorite pieces of queer visual culture?

I love the indie game community, especially personal pieces made by small teams or individual developers. one night, hot springs is a really touching game about the struggles and happiness of a trans person during a simple visit to a hot springs with friends.

Which other queer people inspire you?

I don't know too much about the queer design community, that's why I joined this! Mostly, people I'm inspired by are game developers I've discovered through itch.io.
