I’m a queer graphic designer with a passion for creating vibrant assets and art that celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community. I also enjoy designing pieces inspired by pop culture and music.

How does being queer inform your work?

Being queer informs my work by shaping how I approach design and storytelling. It gives me a unique perspective that’s rooted in authenticity, resilience, and community. I’m drawn to creating art that amplifies marginalized voices, celebrates identity, and challenges norms, whether through bold visuals or subtle symbolism. My lived experience as a Black queer person allows me to connect deeply with themes of self-expression and inclusivity, which I infuse into every project. Ultimately, being queer inspires me to design with intention, aiming to create work that feels seen, celebrated, and impactful.

What are your favorite pieces of queer visual culture?

My favorite piece of queer visual culture is Willow and Tara’s relationship in Buffy the Vampire Slayer. It was the first time I saw queer expression portrayed on screen, and their love story made a lasting impact on me. Seeing such a genuine and heartfelt representation during a time when queer characters were often sidelined or stereotyped meant so much—it felt like seeing a reflection of something real for the first time. Their story has always stuck with me and continues to inspire my creative work.
