How does being queer inform your work?

I think being queer gives you a different perspective on the world. Both as and outsider from the majority of society looking in but also as part of our own rich LGBTQ+ culture which has it's own shared narrative.

What are your favorite pieces of queer visual culture?

I love lots of different aspects of queer visual culture. Anything unapologetically queer like Tom of Finlands portrayal of hyper masculinity and leather culture which at the time contradicted to the idea of the gay man as a sissy. I love the artistry of gender bending drag queens, and the campery of fashion and pop.

Which other queer people inspire you?

Anyone who stands up for their authentic self and has pride in themselves.I'm not the kind of person that list top 10 queer people who've inspired me, as there has been hundreds and more are continually being added to the group. There are so many people have changed my life in fundamentally large or small and delicate ways, and the thought of ranking them gives me serious anxiety.
