Queer Design Club

I’m a genderfluid, Filipinx-American UI/UX Designer who is passionate about human-computer interaction, technology, education, and writing.

How does being queer inform your work?

It makes me consider that there are minorities like me who can feel different levels of discomfort when they see design. It also lets me acknowledge that I have a different and important perspective as a UX Designer.

What are your favorite pieces of queer visual culture?

I love drag shows! I volunteered to help the drag queens out once at my university. I hope to do drag sometime.

Which other queer people inspire you?

I find Asian queer people like Angelia Trinidad inspiring since Asians like me tend to hide their identities and sexualities. They show me that it is possible to be me and I hope to be a role model like them someday.
