I am a queer Francophone designer and one of three women owners at a studio that focuses on accessible Indigenous and non-profit work.

How does being queer inform your work?

Being queer while focusing on projects with the topic of gender diversity and inclusion gives me the opportunity to design from lived experience and to have a greater understanding of the client's demographic and key messaging.

What are your favorite pieces of queer visual culture?

Queer art, gender fluidity in art and the way even stock images in design are expanding gender norms.

Which other queer people inspire you?

Kate Moore from Vital Shift Consulting has been great to work with on the topic of EDI, her unique perspective has shaped the way I go about design when choosing images and creating assets with an EDI lens. Also Anishinaabe activist Sarain Fox is just so inspiring.
