How does being queer inform your work?

I think that being queer and trans has definitely helped me to be a more empathetic person, and I believe that empathy is at the heart of design. It's all about seeing things from others' perspectives - whether it be a client, your audience, etc. - and making sure that your design work is effective and accessible to as many people as possible.

What are your favorite pieces of queer visual culture?

All of Keith Haring's artwork!

Which other queer people inspire you?

Trans creators (especially YouTubers like Jamie Raines and Jake Edwards) were hugely inspirational to me when I was figuring out my own identity and place in the world. Designers like Kate Moross have hugely inspired me to feel like I could really be myself AND be successful in the field that I love so much.
