How does being queer inform your work?

In my design practise it has determined how I see the wider context behind some of the projects I've worked on especially around inclusion and social justice. I tend to seek out the work of those creatives who don't necessarily form the dominant and majority identity in creative sectors especially within the product design industryIn my design teaching, it shapes the language I use and don't us, it informs the viewpoints I share with students and often the visual content I choose to include in my lectures/workshops.

What are your favorite pieces of queer visual culture?

The portrayal of queer narratives through film. I always look forward to The BFI Flare: London LGBTQIA+ Film Festival every year, this year the Kristen Lovell and Zackary Drucker’s documentary The Stroll was premiered and it felt like one of the most significant films I've watched.

Gabriel A Maher and the questions they raise around the politics and identities of in relation to design and design objects.Deborah Frances White from 'The Guilty Feminist' podcast, how she speaks about feminist issues and uses her comedy to help facilitate conversations around some difficult topics
