How does being queer inform your work?

Being queer has changed a lot of how I look at projects. I tend to see unintended messages about heteronormative society and actively move away from it as much as I can.

What are your favorite pieces of queer visual culture?

This may sound simplistic, but the way the rainbow pride flag has evolved is such an integral visual part of our culture as a queer community. It doesn't matter that pink, white, blue, brown, and black aren't a part of the rainbow--they are; however, a strong part of our community. IE: Trans/nonbinary and BIPOC queer people.

Which other queer people inspire you?

Some of my biggest inspirations have been Marsha P. Johnson, Laverne Cox, Rory Power, and myself (because I'm proud of myself for choosing *me* over my queerphobic family.
