I'm a full-stack product designer, with almost 5 years in the industry and nearly 10 working design overall.

How does being queer inform your work?

I think as queer people we bring a unique perspective to the conversation. I think we naturally consider biases that may be present in a problem space, similar to how we face biases in our everyday lives.

What are your favorite pieces of queer visual culture?

I can't think of just one but any of the work done by Peter Hujar. His photographs captures so many aspects of queer culture during the AIDS epidemic.

Which other queer people inspire you?

All trans people. The level of courageousness they have to carry on a daily basis really inspires me. Some of my closest friends, Jos Hurt, Ohni Lisle, and Samantha Sikanas all have to overcome a lot of obstacles that gay CIS men and women don't necessarily face as much.
