How does being queer inform your work?

My queerness informs my work by igniting stories that I want to share that is not mainstream media such as my magazine QueerCut. I often want to share my personal experiences through pop culture and collective feelings of LGBTQ community.

What are your favorite pieces of queer visual culture?

I love the magazines Out and Them. I feel that they are pushing the boundaries with tradition vs progressiveness in publishing and magazine media. They combine telling queer stories and experiences with impeccable design for print and digital.

Which other queer people inspire you?

@PeoMichie on instagram, she's a queer POC who depicts queer romance, sexual and intimate experiences. Her use of color and texture influences my work a lot. I also love EJ Chong @ejknoodles, shes also a queer POC and integrates graphic design into her illustrations.
