Social impact designer exploring/responding to the narratives of marginalized people entrapped by man-made environmental injustices

How does being queer inform your work?

As a result of how society has viewed me, I've naturally positioned my blackness before my queerness. Through my work there is no separation between the two, only harmony where no struggle exists to be either authentically black or queer (whatever that means) –I am, who I am.

What are your favorite pieces of queer visual culture?

A friend of mine by the name Carl Grauer, created a breath taking portrait series titled, The Lavender Temple of Their Most Fabulous, celebrating pivotal moments and figures that shaped the gay rights movement. https://www.instagram.com/carlgrauer/

Which other queer people inspire you?

My friends and few family members who are brave enough to live authentically and the black trans women who did (and are still doing) the work to propel the gay rights movement to where it is now.
